WEETS 2024 is a platform that seeks to highlight opportunities available for women/girls by bridging the digital divide while expanding new ideas on ICT and telecom, thereby positioning them to effectively play a formidable role in the Nigerian tech space. It will also recognize and celebrate the Women on the one hand and Corporate Organizaons on the other hand, who are already blazing the trail in Nigeria’s ICT ecosystem.
THE OBJECTIVES OF WEET 2024
The primary objecve of the 2024 Women Entrepreneurs & Executives in Tech Summit is to provide a dynamic platform for women across various sectors to explore the intersecon of AI and leadership, share insights,
experiences, and best pracces, and collecvely chart a course for advancing gender diversity and inclusion in
the tech sector.
SUMMIT OVERVIEW: The summit will feature a diverse array of keynote presentaons, panel discussions,
workshops, and networking opportunies, addressing key topics such as:
1. The role of AI in shaping the future of business leadership and innovaon.
2. Strategies for fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion in AI development and implementaon.
3. Overcoming challenges and barriers to advancement as women leaders in the tech industry.
4. Leveraging AI technologies for business growth, sustainability, and societal impact.
5. Empowering the next generaon of women and girls to excel in AI and technology fields

Ugochi S. Emmanuel is a Media personnel who as a correspondent was an ICT and business reporter at Digivation Network, formerly known as AIT Info Tech, Cyber Africa, and a business and entrepreneurial magazine; Enterprise Africa360
She covers the global digital media sector, with specific interests in information and communications technology media and Innovations. She has also been involved in special projects conception and implementation to drive ICT innovation, enterprise and youth development. Some of such initiative include; The Nigeria Digital Innovation Conference, Nigeria Mobile Economy Dialogue where she managed the media and publicity portfolio. She managed and coordinated the Nigeria Women Digital Agenda summit and awards, anannual event saddled at bringing women and girls together to highlight the huge opportunities available to women in the 21stcentury, accelerate progress and identify Nigerian women across board that have been able to maximize the tremendous opportunities offered by the digital age to better their communities, career and the country at large.
Her research interests are in broadcasting, communications, the lifestyle of women in the digital era, mobile and technology. Ugochi provides analysis of the key developments in content creation employing various information technology tools.
She holds a B.A degree in creative Arts from the University of Lagos, Akoka Yaba Lagos state and a professional class in Reportorial and Presentation from the federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria training school and Soni Irabor school of media and communications. She recently concluded her Post Graduate Diploma at the Nigeria Institute of Journalism She won an award as the best supporting ICT media for DigiVation network.
Ugochi later left Digivation to create TECHlife with Ugo. The program which is saddled to discuss topical and trending issues and development across all sectors of the economy ,both local and international with conversations with global thought leaders and cultural influencers on the issues and trends impacting the world each day, from politics, business and technology to arts, science and sports. Ugochi Emmanuel leads the conversation on global and domestic news with contributions by prominent journalists.
Ugochi S.Emmaanuel is a graduate Creative Arts from the faculty of Arts in the University of Lagos, Akoka Nigeria. She migrated into the media, having founded her passion in disseminating information through news and broadcasting. She worked as a media personnel in ICT and business at DIGIVATION NETWORK AIT Info Tech, Cyber Africa, and a business and entrepreneurial magazine; Enterprise Africa360. Ugochi has won for series of awards one of which female ICT personnel of the year.
